Learning more

The best way to learn astrology is by actually doing it, and sharing knowledge with other people interested in astrology. Print out your own chart, and those of your friends, then have a go at interpreting it. This site shows you some of the basics, but in terms of deeper meanings and getting a “feel” for a chart, join an astrology group.

You may be lucky enough to have an astrology group near you, but if you don’t try joining an on-line astrology group. There are several which I’ve listed in the Links section. It’s also a good idea to buy a basic astrology book - there are so many, I’m not going to recommend any specific one. Have a look in your local bookstore, and go for one that grabs your attention. Don’t bother with specialised books initially - ones that just deal with Moon signs, or just deal with relationships, for instance.

There are also various schools and courses on offer, which is a good way of learning more formally.

Finally, once you’ve started practicing, join a formal association, such as the Astrology Association of Great Britain and go to their annual conference - it’s a great way of networking and meeting others.
